Nowhere on HP’s support site can I find any resolution, and it isn’t listed among those models which support AirPrint either – and Apple doesn’t include it in its list of printers with AirPrint support.

It’s actually far worse than that, because Apple’s account doesn’t match up to those of printer manufacturers, and you could easily end up abandoning a printer which could still work as well as it ever has done.
